Urban Cartographics' products and services are designed around three central ideas:
The maps and graphics included in land use applications should be as polished and professional as the rest of the application. So first off, everything Urban Cartographics prepares is digital. That means our products can be emailed without sacrificing quality; can be edited quickly and easily; and, most recently, can be accessed by our clients online through the use of shared dropbox folders. What's more, we're passionate about designing the absolute best maps and graphics for every project. And we bring that dedication to every project we take on. Let us show you how we can bring the visual components of your applications to the next level.
Zoning attorneys should have a way to effectively communicate their arguments using maps and graphics. Zoning attorneys will spend eight pages describing a neighborhood. But, when it comes to illustrating their point, they show little more than a black and white site plan alongside a basic land use map. Simply put, zoning attorneys often use the wrong medium for communicating their arguments—probably because they don't have an alternative. Enter Urban Cartographics. Over the last five years, we've prepared all manner of products, designed to communicate all sorts of arguments. These custom-made products are some of the ones we're most proud of. And we look forward to be challenged with how to illustrate your point.
Zoning attorneys should be able to outsource large parts of their work. If you've ever spent time filling out a basic land use application form, you've probably wished there was a service you could outsource the work to. (I know I did.) A large part of the work involved in preparing land use applications simply doesn't require an attorney's skill set. At the same time, you can't just give the work to a temp agency. For those firms with an army of paralegals who are well versed in the different agency processes, the problem is solved. But for the rest of you, we're here to help. If we're preparing your maps and photos, why not have us fill out the forms, or even write the first draft of the application, too. We have vast experience in everything from filling out a pre-application statement, to drafting a variance or rezoning application. There's simply no need to stay at work late, or hire another employee, to help draft and assemble your applications.
