Building Height Comparisons are an extremely effective way of showing that the size of a proposed development will not alter the character of the district in which it is located. The first example on this page was created specifically to address the issue of building height, along West 30th Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues in the Flower District.
The second example on this page was used for a similar application in the same neighborhood. Except that to illustrate that this significantly taller building was within the range of building heights found in the area, we created this diagram showing all of the tall buildings in the area bound by 23rd Street to the south, 34th Street to the north, Fifth Avenue to the east, and Eighth Avenue to the west.
